More from One Chicago Center

The election

  • The season is taking place in the middle of a mayoral election, with two candidates: current police superintendent Brian Kelton (John C. McGinley), and Alderman Ray Price (Wendell Pierce).
  • After finding out Kelton had intentionally held up a serial killer investigation in order to help himself rise up the ranks, Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) decided to back Price in the election.
  • Voight gave Price evidence of Kelton’s prior misdeeds, as a way of getting revenge for the serial killer murdering one of Voight’s confidential informants.
  • There’s a big spoiler about the election in the next episode.

Relationships

  • Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) found out that Adam Ruzek and Hailey Upton (Patrick John Flueger and Tracy Spiridakos) were a couple after walking in on them as they were sharing an affectionate moment at work.
  • Burgess spoke with Upton after the case and seemed to be okay with her, as you can watch in the video below, but hasn’t spoken to Ruzek about it. So will Chicago PD have the exes talk about it, or not?
  • They may not need to, because Burgess is now sleeping with Blair (guest star Charles Michael Davis), a political operative. There’s just one big problem: Blair is working for Brian Kelton, the man that Voight just swore to take down.
