What should fans watch for in tonight’s Chicago Fire? Get ready for No Such Thing As Bad Luck with our Chicago Fire season 7, episode 18 preview.

If you’re a Joe Cruz fan, then you’ll probably get a kick out of this week’s Chicago Fire, because it’s mostly about Joe Minoso‘s character.

In “No Such Thing As Bad Luck,” Cruz has a couple different things happening for him, some good and others not so much.

The main storyline of the episode involves him running afoul of Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) as Severide disagrees with Cruz’s actions on a call. Chicago Fire fans heard as recently as the latest crossover how highly Severide thinks of Cruz, so what happened for Severide to be upset?

The other question is how this is going to be different from last week’s storyline where Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) was irritated with Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) for his choices on a call.

What’s going to keep this plot from feeling like deja vu?

But that’s not all Chicago Fire has in store for Joe Cruz. Photos for this episode reveal that Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) from Chicago PD is paying a visit to him at Firehouse 51. What’s Halstead doing here?

Is it somehow related to the undercover operation that Cruz worked for Intelligence during that second crossover just three episodes ago? That sounds the most likely, but what would make that story relevant again?

And if it’s not that, what problem does Halstead have for Cruz instead? Because what One Chicago viewers know for sure is that he’s not just stopping by to say hello.
