One Chicago fans can now pre-order the Chicago Med season 4 DVD set, confirming that the most recent season of the show will be made available on home video.
Amazon.com has a product listing for the fourth season of Chicago Med on DVD; the e-retailer has the season listed at a current price of $44.98.
The set will be released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment, which is the home video part of NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC.
There isn’t a Chicago Med season 4 DVD release date yet, though; the product page says that “This title has not been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives.”

Typically, One Chicago DVD releases happen in the fall (August or September) as they’re timed to just before the next season starts. The idea is that fans will purchase DVDs to catch up with the last set of episodes in anticipation of the new ones.
Amazon’s listing doesn’t have any details about what’s going to be on this set; they get their data from the manufacturer, and Universal hasn’t issued any kind of official release announcement yet. (That normally happens closer to the aforementioned fall release period.)

But One Chicago fans shouldn’t hold your breath for any impressive bells and whistles on this particular box set.
None of the past DVD editions have had any kind of big special features on them, aside from the crossover episodes of the other two One Chicago shows. That means fans will probably get those episodes of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD from October, and nothing else—no behind the scenes material, no deleted scenes, no gag reel.
We’ll update you if that changes when Universal Studios makes its official product announcement, but there’s no reason to expect that they’re going to do a lot with this season’s DVD.
That being said, this set is good for fans who want to own a physical copy of the season: the ones who don’t use streaming services or digital downloads, or who just want to have that copy that is physically in their hands in case something happens to their digital version.
Amazon also has a pre-order “price guarantee” that means fans ordering through them will get the lowest possible price. That could come down considerably from $45; the third season is on the site right now for less than $20. So consider this if you’re looking to complete your collection or for an early holiday gift.
