Chicago PD’s Milauna Jemai Jackson in tonight’s Animal Kingdom
Chicago PD alum Milauna Jemai Jackson is a guest star on TNT’s crime drama Animal Kingdom tonight; here’s what we know about her episode.
One of Chicago PD‘s best guest stars is headed to TNT‘s Animal Kingdom.
Milauna Jemai Jackson—who stole the show as Laila in the Chicago PD season 6 episode “Black and Blue” in November—can be seen in tonight’s Animal Kingdom episode, which is called “Into the Black.”
While TNT didn’t provide us any details about her character, we do have the synopsis for tonight’s installment, which airs at 9 p.m. The episode centers on Smurf (Ellen Barkin) becoming aware of a new threat against her family, and trying to stop it.
Meanwhile, her son Craig (Ben Robson) makes the potentially unwise choice to find Frankie (Dichen Lachman), even though she betrayed him previously. What could she possibly have for him this time?

Animal Kingdom is based upon the critically acclaimed Australian movie of the same name. The show follows the Cody family, who balance complicated family issues with their criminal pursuits. The series is currently in its fourth season.
As One Chicago fans remember from her Chicago PD appearance, Milauna can effortlessly play a character who operates in a grey area. Whatever form her story arc takes, she’ll be able to take the audience along for the journey, and humanize all of the craziness. Which, on the TNT series, things can get crazy—and violent—very fast.

It’s been a busy time for her, and deservedly so. She previously appeared in an episode of Dick Wolf‘s other series FBI, after her performance as Laila made her second on our list of Chicago PD‘s best guest stars this season.
