Chicago Med guest star Raquel McPeek Rodriguez has been cast in Don’t Look Deeper, a new Quibi drama where she’ll be a series regular.

Another Chicago Med alum has moved on to their next project. Raquel McPeek Rodriguez, who appeared in a multi-episode arc this season, has joined the cast of upcoming drama Don’t Look Deeper.

One Chicago fans will remember her from the episodes “Be My Better Half” and “With A Brave Heart” where she played Bonnie, one-half of a hearing-impaired couple who disagreed with her fiancee on treatment.

Her new series Don’t Look Deeper merges science fiction and teen drama. According to Deadline, the show centers on a high school senior who discovers she isn’t human, and has to deal with her true identity while others are looking for her.

No details have been released about who Raquel is playing in the show, which stars Don Cheadle (House of Lies, James Rhodes/War Machine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) and Emily Mortimer (The Newsroom).

Haven’t heard of Quibi? It’s a new streaming service in development, aimed at mobile (cell phone) users. Details about it are still pretty vague, but you can find the brand’s website here.

What’s more interesting for One Chicago viewers is that this adds to the number of actors who were on the show last season, and have since been picked up for other shows. Recurring guest star Heather Headley has a new Netflix project, and Ian Harding is shooting a pilot for Amazon.

Anna Enger Ritch, who played FBI agent Ingrid Lee, also booked a starring role in Dick Wolf’s New York Undercover reboot, but that project was not picked up to series and appears to be dead.

But that’s four different actors who have found other roles quickly after appearing on Med, which is a big number and not common at all.
