Canal Street, the drama featuring Chicago PD alums Mykelti Williamson, Jon Seda and Mekhi Phifer, is arriving on both DVD and digital.

Three Chicago PD actors feature in Canal Street, and if you missed the movie during its limited run in theaters this spring, it’s coming to digital platforms and DVD in just a few days.

The drama stars Mykelti Williamson, who appeared in Chicago PD‘s fourth and fifth seasons as Lt. Denny Woods, the former partner of Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) who became his worst enemy.

Here he’s playing the hero—a lawyer named Jackie Styles who finds himself with a case that will change his life forever. That’s because the defendant is Jackie’s son Kholi (played by Empire actor Bryshere Y. Gray).

Former Chicago PD star Jon Seda also has a role in the movie, as does Mekhi Phifer, who had the featured guest star part in the episode “Captive” as the man trapped with Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins).

Canal Street is first being released on digital platforms—iTunes, Amazon Video, and the like—on Tuesday, Aug. 20. After that, it comes to DVD on Sunday, Sept. 1.

There are some special features included, namely four behind the scenes featurettes that viewers can watch for more about the characters and making of the movie. While the studio hasn’t said if Williamson, Seda or Phifer are included on any of the bonuses, it makes sense that at least some of them will be, since Mykelti Williamson is playing the main role.

You can pre-order the DVD edition of the movie here. You can also check out the trailer below, and it’s perfect viewing for One Chicago fans, not only because of the cast but also because the movie takes place in Chicago as well.

With the release date, you can check this movie out while waiting for Chicago PD season 7, and it may also be of interest to fans who are still reeling over Jon Seda’s departure, too.
