One Chicago ratings report: Week of Oct. 2, 2019
How did Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med do in the TV ratings? Check out this week’s numbers in the One Chicago ratings report.
The One Chicago ratings were much better in the second week of the fall TV season. After a less than perfect start during premiere week, things appear to be on the rebound.
Leading off Wednesday night, Chicago Med experienced a slight uptick in viewers. 7.55 million people watched this week’s episode live; that’s a lift of 0.14, or 140,000 audience members.
The show maintained its 1.0 share within the adults 18-49 sample. That made it tied for fifth place out of 14 shows in that group, while it was second in overall viewers.
There could have been an even bigger gain, since a large chunk of people tuned out of FOX‘s The Masked Singer in its second week. That show lost more than a million eyes, going from 7.90 to 6.75 million. But it seems Med only picked up a small fraction of that audience.

At 9 p.m. it was Chicago Fire that recaptured the most-watched broadcast TV show crown for the One Chicago franchise.
Its 7.57 total viewers was the biggest live audience of the night, and 0.35 (or 350,000) more than watched last week’s premiere.
Fire also held steady amongst adults 18-49, delivering another 1.1 share, which tied it for third place in that category with ABC‘s sitcom Modern Family.

Once again, Chicago PD brought up the rear—both in time slot and in ratings. Its 5.996 million people watching live was more than 1.5 million less than either of the other two One Chicago series.
It was also the only show to experience a ratings drop this week; that 5.99 was much smaller than the 6.52 million who watched the premiere live (-0.524, or 52,400).
PD is fifth in total viewers this week and also fifth amongst the 18-49 demographic.
At least it’s still beating out its competition (ABC’s Stumptown drew 3.95 million in week two and the season premiere of CBS‘s SWAT had 4.07 million). But again, the Intelligence Unit is lagging in the numbers. Is there a way to fix what is now definitely an ongoing problem?
