Wednesday’s new episode, “Familia,” finds the Intelligence Unit going up against a drug kingpin who has a history of working exclusively with women. Enter the team’s newest addition: Vanessa Rojas (Lisseth Chavez).

Hoping to prove her worth to the team, Vanessa is ready to step up and use her strengths to assist in bringing the kingpin to justice. Given she’s the newbie on the team — a team which has been through a lot together — it’s not surprising Vanessa would be eager to prove her worth to her new team. Considering the synopsis for the episode teases a struggle for Vanessa to settle in with the Intelligence Unit, it will be intriguing to see how far she is willing to go to close the case.
