The next Chicago Med episode is going to get even weirder, according to NBC‘s official description of the episode and the promo that they’ve released for it.
Wednesday’s installment is titled “Too Close to the Sun,” which sounds like it’s going to a nod to the Icarus story, but its plotline could definitely get somebody burned. Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) treats a patient who thinks social media polls are an effective way to make decisions about his medical treatment. That probably isn’t going to fly very far with Choi.
Meanwhile, the doctors treat one of their colleagues, and it’s pretty easy to guess who that might be. Noah Sexton (recurring guest star Roland Buck III) did just tick off a gang member, after all. Or if the show goes full crazy, maybe Phillip Davis (Ian Harding) goes after Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) in the parking lot? But that would be a pretty big reach for a storyline that seems like it’s over, so our money’s on Noah. Poor guy, considering he was punched in the ED once already.

"Maggie gets unsettling news about a new friend and breaks protocol to support him. One of the doctors from the Med family is rushed into emergency surgery after a violent assault. A social media influencer lets his users vote on medical advice, forcing Dr. Charles to make a decision."
