NBC has released the official photos for Chicago Med season 5, episode 14, and it looks like some doctors will have pivotal relationship moments this week, while others contend with work ethics.
The February 12 episode “It May Not Be Forever” once again pairs Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) with Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains), as they butt heads over a young patient who may be abused by her husband. Elsewhere, Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) struggles with his decision to continue working at an off the books clinic.
Though the episode synopsis doesn’t mention Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta), the couple is heavily featured in this week’s promotional photos. Since the show usually keeps time with the current date, maybe it’s Valentine’s Day in the One Chicago universe, and that’s why Ethan has a rose for April. (This episode does air just before the holiday.) Or maybe he’s simply being sweet to her, as he’s done in the past.
With Dr. Marcel working with Dr. Manning again, hopefully that means he will steer clear of April for a week. He’s still tried to strike up casual conversation with her while she’s still struggling with a myriad of feelings. While April’s revealed her inter-office crush to Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett), she still has not told her fiance Choi that she kissed someone else.
You would think she’d know better by now: the longer you keep your secrets, the more time they have to hurt the ones you love when they come out. Hopefully that doesn’t happen for Chexton, as they deserve to enjoy their engaged bliss a little longer.
