Chicago Med season 5, episode 15 recap: I Will Do No Harm
Will
Chicago Med fans’ worst fear has come true: Will wakes up in bed with Dr. Hannah Asher (recurring guest star Jessy Schram). As he’s getting dressed, he asks her if she’s still going to turn herself in. Hannah assures him that she will as soon as she finishes up a few things at work. Will gives her a goodbye kiss as the rest of us cringe.
He gets to the hospital and treats a pregnant woman who’s having a sickle cell pain crisis. Will and Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) find out that Hannah is the woman’s OB/GYN, and Maggie wonders why Will has Hannah’s personal cell phone number. “We’re friends,” Will says unconvincingly before going up to find her. When he arrives in her office, he’s told that Hannah is missing.
The patient panics when she hears this but eventually agrees to let Will and Maggie start her transfusion. In Chicago Med style, the transfusion goes wrong and the patient revolts, refusing to allow Will to perform the emergency C-section she now needs. Now definitely ticked off, Will leaves the hospital to find Hannah and bring her back.
He returns to the safe injection site Chicago Med had him working at for several episodes, but Hannah isn’t there either. So it’s back to the hospital, where Maggie and Will finally get their patient to agree to the C-section. The baby is safely delivered and both she and her mother turn out just fine.
But Hannah strolls in just after the surgery ends, with an entire list of excuses for her absence. She claims she had a flat tire and phone issues, and when Will insists she was off getting high, she gets angry again. Why are these two anywhere near each other?
But instead of reporting Hannah to authorities immediately, Will approaches security guard Earl and asks him to run a drug dog around Hannah’s car. The dog immediately alerts to the presence of drugs in the vehicle, and of course Hannah walks out just in time to realize she’s been caught.
