Chicago Fire: Cruz and Chloe’s wedding
It’s wedding day in this week’s Chicago Fire season 8 episode, as Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso) and fiancee Chloe (recurring guest star Kristen Gutoskie) finally make it to the altar. This will bring plenty of joy to characters and fans alike, but we all know it’s not going to be just a wedding.
Derek Haas is notorious for throwing in some kind of plot twist or emotional surprise in many of his show’s biggest moments, and “Light Things Up” will probably be the same. Is something going to go wrong before the wedding, like we saw in the 100th episode of Chicago Med?
Or will the show rip out our hearts by providing us with another moment between Cruz and Otis (Yuri Sardarov), whether it be some kind of a flashback or Cruz just talking to his late best friend, who would have been his best man? There’s going to be something to buzz about and it won’t be just the ceremony.
(Plus, since Chicago Med did just have a wedding mere weeks ago, it’ll be fun to compare the two and see the differences and similarities in how they handle the big day.)

Chicago PD: Ruzek’s secret revealed?
One Chicago viewers might get a big surprise in Wednesday’s Chicago PD, because all signs point to learning something about Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger).
Firstly, the episode is called “Buried Secrets.” Secondly, we know that Ruzek witnesses a woman being kidnapped, which means he had to be pretty close to her when she was taken. And last but not least, Ruzek also starts pushing Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) away during this episode.
After all they’ve been through recently and all it took to get her back, one would think that Ruzek wouldn’t give Burgess the cold shoulder without a good reason. And it’s going to be a bit of a reach if he just happens to be nearby when the victim is taken. That’s not impossible, but it’s awfully convenient and wouldn’t account for his change of mood.
So does Ruzek have some kind of connection to the victim? Were they perhaps meeting for some reason and it’s something that he doesn’t want to talk about? It wouldn’t even necessarily be that bad—remember the episode “Saved” where a woman had a “mysterious connection” to Hank Voight (Jason Beghe)? This could be another one of those stories.
Chicago Med: Choi vs. Marcel, round two
If you thought that Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) having it out was the end of the Chexton love triangle storyline on Chicago Med, think again. This week’s episode “Just A River In Egypt” will show that despite April taking responsibility for cheating, Choi still has some choice words for Dr. Crockett Marcel (Dominic Rains).
The official description from NBC says only that “tensions run high” between Choi and Marcel, which could mean anything. But considering that the last time they broached this topic, Choi was poised to beat up Crockett, we’re not optimistic. Will they wind up having another confrontation in public? Will Crockett start standing up for himself and point out what April has already said—that she initiated the kiss between them?
And most importantly, what will it take for Choi to let this go? He has every right to be infuriated at his fiancee cheating on him, but at a certain point he either needs to move on…or move away from the relationship. He’s certainly not breaking up with April, so he’s going to have to figure out how to deal with this before he really does explode
