Wednesday’s episode puts Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) front and center, and it sounds like One Chicago fans might be about to learn something more about him.
The episode sees Ruzek as the prime witness to a kidnapping, and the case gets even stranger when the victim’s father seems to know more than he’s letting on.

So what role does Dad have to play in this? Normally parents are desperate to save their kids, to the point they mess up investigations by going too far, but this doesn’t seem like that (see the promo at the bottom of this article, which is just odd).
And is it just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time for Ruzek, or was he at that crime scene for a particular reason that Intelligence is going to uncover? He wouldn’t be the first member of the unit to have a previously undisclosed connection to a case.
Plus, there’s the obvious follow-up question: how will this situation affect his relationship with Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati)?

Chicago PD season 7, episode 19 synopsis
Here’s the official description that NBC has released for this week’s episode. As usual, it’s pretty vague about the specifics of the plot, but Burzek fans will want to brace themselves for a bumpy ride based on this.
"The clock is on after Ruzek witnesses a woman’s kidnapping and the team races to put the pieces together. Burgess tries to connect with Ruzek outside of work but he mysteriously distances himself from her."
