Chicago PD gets Intelligence entangled in a kidnapping case in “Buried Secrets.” Check out the official Chicago PD season 7, episode 19 photos.
Wednesday’s installment centers on the abduction of a young woman, which Intelligence gets involved in when Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) is the prime witness. Why was he on the scene when the woman was taken?
While Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) butts heads with the victim’s itinerant father (played by guest star Spencer Garrett, Bombshell), the rest of the team scrambles to get her back through any way possible.

Since Ruzek is the featured character, it’s no surprise that he appears in most of the photos that NBC has made available for this episode. Several of them are with him sitting on the back of an ambulance, which isn’t a good sign.
Is this at the initial crime scene (which would explain why he’s being talked to by several of his colleagues), or is this later on in the episode? Could Ruzek wind up putting his own life at risk to get the victim back?
A fun fact is that Tracy Spiridakos does not appear in this set of photos. It’s possible that Chicago PD will be incorporating the fact that her character Hailey Upton was sent to New York at the end of the prior episode, which set up Spiridakos’ guest appearance in last week’s FBI season 2 finale.
We’ll have to watch the episode to find out, but if that’s the case and Ruzek winds up being hamstrung at all by his being a witness, the team could be two officers down as they investigate. It looks like Ruzek is still out in the field from the photos, though, so perhaps Voight doesn’t come down on him that hard.
