The Code season 1 is now available on DVD.

If you missed Chicago Med actor Ato Essandoh in The Code last year, you can now grab The Code season 1 on DVD through Amazon.

The series premiered on CBS last April and focused on a group of elite Marine lawyers working out of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) office in Quantico, Virginia.

Ato Essandoh, who recurred on Chicago Med as Dr. Isidore Latham, was a series regular playing Major Trey Ferry.

Unfortunately, the show only lasted one 12-episode season before being cancelled by CBS.

But if you didn’t see it the first time around, or just want to watch Essandoh in a starring role instead of his limited appearances on Med, now is your chance to catch up.

Watch One Chicago on fuboTV: Watch over 67 live sports and entertainment channels with a 7-day FREE trial!

The three-disc DVD set from CBS Home Entertainment contains all 12 episodes of the series, but no special features.

Amazon has the physical DVDs on sale for $34.99; if you prefer a digital copy, you can get that on Amazon Video for $19.99.

If you want to sample the show before you buy the full season, Amazon is also offering a 7-day free trial of CBS All Access. Just go to the product page linked above and you can watch episodes through the trial before buying the series on either DVD or digital.

While The Code was not a ratings hit for CBS, it still holds appeal for One Chicago viewers. With Ato Essandoh’s role on Chicago Med having been limited to brief cameo appearances in the latest seasons, this show is an opportunity for fans to see him in a much bigger part—and a starring one, too. He has excellent chemistry with Luke Mitchell (Blindspot), who stars as Trey’s colleague John “Abe” Abraham.

Plus, there are some pretty good guest stars in certain episodes. Steven Pasquale (Rescue Me, The Good Wife) appears in the series finale, while Aaron Tveit (Graceland) has a recurring role, and Tawny Cypress (Brockmire) also is in multiple installments. Give it a look if you haven’t already; it’s a good way to fill the hiatus until the One Chicago series return.
