Brian Geraghty will appear in The Fugitive; watch the trailer.

If Chicago PD fans haven’t seen enough of Brian Geraghty recently, they’re about to get another dose when Quibi‘s The Fugitive premieres next month.

A remake of the classic TV series, The Fugitive stars Boyd Holbrook (Narcos) as a man who’s falsely accused of terrorism. Kiefer Sutherland (24) plays the detective determined to hunt him down.

Geraghty is part of the supporting cast, which also includes Natalie Martinez (APB) and Tiya Sircar (The Good Place). No details about Geraghty’s character have been released except for that he is named Dale.

The Fugitive premieres Aug. 3 exclusively on Quibi, which specializes in bite-size episodes of just 10 minutes. There are 14 episodes in the season.

The casting continues a busy time for Geraghty, who starred as Sean Roman on Chicago PD.

While he was not brought back for The Alienist season 2 and his crime drama Briarpatch just got cancelled, he also booked a leading role in the upcoming David E. Kelley series Big Sky and reprised his role as Roman in last season’s crossover between PD and Chicago Fire.

The fact that Quibi isn’t saying anything about his role in The Fugitive remake is actually an encouraging sign, too, because it means Geraghty probably has an important role. If he was just playing another cop on Sutherland’s character’s task force, or a random associate of Holbrook’s character, there would be no problem in saying so.

But if his alter ego is being kept under wraps, that means saying anything would be spoilery, which in turn means he must have an impact on the story. Is he the one framing Holbrook? Is he a figure from someone’s past? The possibilities are endless.
