Chicago PD’s Anne Heche joins Dancing with the Stars season 29
Anne Heche is part of the Dancing with the Stars season 29 cast.
When Dancing with the Stars returns in less than two weeks, a Chicago PD actress will be among those vying for the latest Mirrorball Trophy.
ABC announced this week that Anne Heche, who recurred on Chicago PD as former Deputy Superintendent Katherine Brennan, is among the cast for the latest season of the reality TV competition series.
It’s the first time that an actor with a significant One Chicago connection has been part of the DWTS lineup.

The Dancing with the Stars season 29 cast also includes former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristow, Tiger King‘s Carole Baskin, Catfish host Nev Schulman and Holey Moley sideline reporter Jeannie Mai, who also co-hosts The Real with Chicago Med actress Garcelle Beauvais.
Below is the complete cast announcement video that shows everyone who will be competing this fall.
Heche’s casting comes as the One Chicago universe is seeing increased overlap with reality TV and unscripted series.
Garcelle Beauvais joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and just a few months after being brought onto that long-running reality show, signed up to co-host the daytime talk show The Real. Now Anne Heche is on one of TV’s most popular competition series.
What she probably won’t be doing, though, is reprising her role as Brennan—in the Chicago PD season 7 premiere, she confessed to the murder of her former boss Brian Kelton (played by John C. McGinley) and was arrested by the Intelligence Unit. She hasn’t been mentioned since.
Dancing with the Stars season 29 premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
