Chicago Med season 6, episode 4 synopsis and promo.

The next Chicago Med will excite fans of Dr. Natalie Manning, Dr. Crockett Marcel, or the two of them as a potential couple. The duo are front and center again in this week’s episode, according to the official materials NBC has released.

Entitled “In Search of Forgiveness, Not Permission,” Wednesday’s installment is the second consecutive one in which Natalie (Torrey DeVitto) and Crockett (Dominic Rains) have had the main story. This week, the two go to extreme measures for their patient, which probably means they’re going to get in trouble somehow. Natalie certainly has a reputation for breaking the rules if she’s convinced that she’s right, and Crockett doesn’t exactly play it safe either.

One of the subplots involves Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) continuing to work on his clinical trial, which doesn’t sound like it’s going swimmingly. But considering that it’s the best option Will has to advance his career at the moment, he’s kind of stuck with it. Will he eventually get the results he’s looking for? Or how far will he go to find success? There’s a whole lot of risk-taking going on around the hospital this week.

Don’t forget that per our interview with the showrunners, this is also the episode where Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) returns to the hospital, after working from home for the first few installments.

Here is NBC’s official description of this episode:

"Dr. Marcel and Dr. Manning lay everything on the line to assist a sick woman. Dr. Halstead faces an uphill battle in getting participants involved in his clinical trial. Dr. Choi clashes with a patient who demands absolute perfection of himself."

Below is the promo that the network has released for the episode—note that this is a full promo (not combining all three shows), so be sure you watch it all the way to the end:
