Chicago Med season 6, episode 6 synopsis and promo: Don’t Want To Face This Now
This week’s Chicago Med might bring a big change for one main character.
Wednesday’s episode is called “Don’t Want To Face This Now,” and according to the information that NBC has released about it, Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) might be on the move.
One Chicago fans know that Will has been working throughout season 6 on a clinical trial for a new heart failure medication. So when the network says he’s thinking about “a new path,” it stands to reason that he’s considering moving out of the Emergency Department and going into a far more lucrative field.
But will he seriously go for it? Will doesn’t have a lot going on for him at the hospital right now, but transitioning into a new career field would also mean he wouldn’t be on the show anymore, so it’s a big grey area. Let’s see how far the writers push this idea in this and potentially later weeks or if it turns out to be one of those short-lived ideas.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t seem like Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) is going to catch a break either. The show seems to be riding the “Choi cracks under pressure” train for a long while, but that might be just to set up why the show is introducing a new character. After all, there’s no reason to bring in someone new if the existing team is doing just fine.
