Chicago Fire season 9, episode 7 photos: Dead of Winter

The newest Chicago Fire episode will be very, very cold, at least according to the photos that NBC has put out to officially promote what’s happening on Wednesday.

If you weren’t clued in by the fact that the episode is called “Dead of Winter,” these images make clear that the story will be spotlighting Chicago’s notorious cold. Several of them include snow and ice that are very visible (which might be why the network also included a still of Joe Cruz dealing with a fiery explosion, just to mix things up).

Those looking for plot spoilers, though, will be disappointed. This appears to be another case where NBC has chosen most of their stills from the same sequence of events, so the only thing we can really learn is that Cruz gets himself into trouble—which was already revealed in the synopsis for this episode anyway.

Now we just have an image to put to the plot point, as well as another shot of Gianna Mackey (Adriyan Rae) having words with Cruz (Joe Minoso) afterward.
