Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD cast comings and goings

The One Chicago shows might be entering yet another break, but when Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD finally return with fresh episodes there are going to be some slight changes to the shows’ cast rosters!
In a recent report from Deadline, it’s been announced that the One Chicago series will soon welcome a mix of both familiar and new faces with a handful of actors. As faces make their way to the Windy City, one beloved favorite has taken their final curtain call and will not be back when the One Chicago series return.
With so many changes coming in just a matter of days, we know One Chicago fans might be feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed by the wave of news. So here’s our handy guide to who’s coming to your favorite shows and who has said their final goodbye to the city of Chicago.
Chicago Fire cast changes
Who’s Coming: After a multi-episode guest arc in season 8, Hanako Greensmith will be returning in a recurring role as paramedic Violet Mikami. Greensmith’s return as Mikami seems to suggest the writers might have plans to reignite the romantic storyline introduced in season 8 between the character and Alberto Rosende‘s Blake Gallo.

Who’s Going: As hinted at in Chicago Fire season 9, episode 9, “Double Red,” Adriyan Rae has exited the cast and will not return as paramedic Gianna Mackey when season 9 resumes. In the episode, Mackey decided to transfer to another house in the city and it seems that transfer was used as Rae’s exit storyline.
Chicago Med cast changes
Who’s Coming: It looks like we’re about to see more of Dr. Natalie Manning’s (Torrey DeVitto) family life as Margaret Colin will be sticking around as Natalie’s mom, booking a recurring role which should allow Med to further develop the characters’ mother-daughter relationship.
Also making their way to Med is American Horror Story alum Charlie Farrell who will be joining the cast as Mark Barragon, the man in charge of the drug trial Dr. Will Halstead’s (Nick Gehlfuss) has been passionately working on.
It also seems we’re going to see yet another long-term patient storyline told in the upcoming episodes as Benny Mora has joined the cast as Mike who Deadline describes as “a blue-collar truck driver in his 30s whose ex-wife brings their baby to the ER.”
Chicago PD cast changes
Who’s Coming: After three years away from the Windy City, Jack Coleman is finally making his way back to Chicago PD to reprise his role as Adam Ruzek’s (Patrick John Flueger) dad, Disco Bob Ruzek.
