Chicago Fire season 9 might have only recently ended, but fans are already looking ahead to season 10 and the many exciting moments the show’s tenth season promises to bring.

Of course, one of the most anticipated items heading into the new season is resolution to the major cliffhangers season 9 concluded with. Will Squad survive their rescue gone wrong? Is 51 about to lose its Chief? What is next for all of our favorite couples? These questions and more should all be answered in the early episodes of season 10; however, that’s only the tip of the iceberg for what is shaping up to be quite an unforgettable season.

Chicago Fire‘s milestone season is expected to kick off with quite an eventual series of episodes beginning with the premiere which should provide resolution to the cliffhangers from season 9. Episode 2 is already being eyed for the latest One Chicago crossover event and then there’s the arrival of the show’s 200th episode.

While details about the major milestone episode remain scarce, showrunner Derek Haas has revealed the writers are planning to hit the ground running in season 10 with a series of episodes that will build toward what he promises to be a special hour of the show.

“We’re going to start and really build towards that episode and make that one special, too,” Haas recently revealed to TVLine when speaking about the early plans for episode 200. The promise of the first episodes of the season building up to the 200th episode seems to suggest we could indeed see a Stellaride wedding occur during the episode.

When is the Chicago Fire 200th episode?

As for the timing of when fans can expect the Chicago Fire 200th episode, it’s looking like the episode should arrive sometime this fall perhaps as early as October.

While we don’t yet know when season 10 will begin, Derek Haas has confirmed the show’s 200th episode will be the fifth episode of Chicago Fire season 10. Should the new season begin the final week of September and run uninterrupted, we could see the 200th episode arrive as early as Wednesday, Oct. 27.
