Is Chicago PD season 6 streaming on Netflix? One Chicago fans might be looking for this season on the popular streaming service, even though we’re now headed toward the ninth season—it’s that worth rewatching.

The sixth season introduced a political storyline, in which the superintendent of the Chicago Police Department was attempting to become mayor. However, Brian Kelton (recurring guest star John C. McGinley) was eventually revealed as a corrupt cop.

Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) became determined to expose Kelton’s misdeeds, especially when one particular cover-up led to the murder of Voight’s friend and confidential informant. Of course, that only made Kelton determined to destroy all of the Intelligence Unit.

It all culminated in a bloody cliffhanger that was resolved in season 7 when audiences found out that Kelton was murdered…not by Voight, but by his former right-hand woman Kate Brennan (as played by All Rise alum Anne Heche).

Though Brennan’s arrest in the season 7 premiere buttoned that storyline, audiences still saw ripple effects later down the line. This season was the only one to feature Vanessa Rojas, as her portrayer Lisseth Chavez was released from her contract—she’s yet to be replaced. (While the character of Andre Cooper was reported to be a new addition to Intelligence, Cooper is likewise MIA as of the end of season 8.)

Is Chicago PD season 6 streaming on Netflix?

While there are a lot of things on Netflix, Chicago PD season 6 is not one of them. The streaming rights for the season were formerly with Hulu because NBC’s parent company Comcast owns a small stake in Hulu. Then when they launched their own streaming platform with Peacock, all of the past seasons migrated (no pun intended) over there.

This comes with a major warning: past seasons of PD require fans to pay for a Peacock Premium subscription. Only the current season (season 8 as of this writing) is free to view. For the cost of a month’s subscription, though, you can likely purchase this season on DVD by clicking the banner below or buy it digitally on iTunes or Amazon Video. It just depends on if you want to own season 6 or just watch certain episodes.
