When does Chicago Med season 7 premiere?

From the moment the season 6 finale aired in late May, fans have been anxious to know what’s next for our favorite doctors and nurses in Chicago Med season 7.

Shortly after the season 6 finale aired, NBC was quick to confirm Chicago Med and the entire One Chicago franchise would once again be returning as part of its fall line-up. While not surprising given the series have long been a staple on NBC’s fall line-up, the news was definitely welcome in helping to assure us that Chicago Med, Fire and PD would be returning sometime in 2021.

Even better, the shows’ presence on the fall schedule all but assured fans wouldn’t have to wait longer than the usual summer hiatus for the One Chicago franchise’s return.

Those counting down the days until Chicago Med season 7 won’t have to count down much longer! While NBC was forced to delay the premiere of its entire One Chicago franchise last year, leading to November launches for the series, NBC will get back to its more standard premiere date schedule for the fall 2021-22 season!

As confirmed by NBC, Chicago Med season 7 will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, on NBC. Once again, Chicago Med will be kicking off One Chicago Wednesdays in the opening hour of the night in airing at 8/7c where it will lead into new episodes of Chicago Fire, with Chicago PD once again closing out the night.
