What’s next for Blake Gallo in Chicago Fire season 10?

Chicago Fire season 9 was quite an interesting season for Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende), particularly on the romance front beginning early in the season with a flirtation with 51’s new paramedic, Gianna Mackey (Adiyan Rae).

While there were definitely sparks between the two characters, their relationship never quite came to full fruition before Mackey left 51 to take a job at another house. However, as one door closed, another one seemed to re-open when Gallo’s ex, Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) was tapped to join the 51 team as Mackey’s replacement.

Needless to say, Violet’s arrival at 51 was quite the curveball for Gallo, who clumsily navigated her presence with some mixed signals that left Violet questioning where exactly he stood.

Luckily, Ritter (Daniel Kyri) helped to clear up some misconceptions Violet had as the season came to a close seemingly paving the way for the will-they-won’t-they dynamic to continue into the new season.

So what’s next for Blake Gallo as we head into season 10?

What will happen to Blake Gallo in Chicago Fire season 10?

Given how large a role the romantic storyline between Gallo and Violet played in the second half of season 9, it seems highly likely we’ll see the writers lean heavily into the storyline when season 10 arrives this fall!

Now that Greensmith has been promoted to a series regular, we expect the writers will further explore the flirtation between the two characters allowing us to see if the couple has what it takes to rise the ranks as the show’s newest power couple.

Beyond further exploring Gallo’s personal life and relationship with Violet, we expect to see more of Gallo’s friendship with Ritter explored in season 10. If season 9 was any indication, fans should expect the pair to get into some more fun hijinks next season which we imagine fans are hoping for given the fun comedic moments they gifted us with last season.

We also expect to continue to see Gallo growing into his role both as a firefighter and a member of the 51 family. Of course, this is Gallo we’re talking about, so we also imagine he’ll also take a few big risks in the season ahead which are sure to get him in some trouble with Casey (Jesse Spencer), but we’d expect nothing else of our favorite go-getter!
