Christmas has come early for Chicago Med fans as the medical drama is about to become the first One Chicago series to arrive on Netflix for the enjoyment of Netflix subscribers in the US!

As first confirmed by What’s On Netflix, Netflix and NBCUniversal have inked a new deal that will allow Chicago Med to stream on Netflix for the first time in the show’s history. While it’s unclear how many seasons will be available to stream upon the show’s arrival, it has been confirmed that “multiple seasons” will be dropping on Netflix which is a promising sign for fans.

It will also make Med the first Dick Wolf-produced series to arrive on Netflix in years and the only Wolf-produced series to be available to stream on Netflix since Law and Order: SVU was removed from the service in 2019. The deal comes hot off Netflix’s recent acquisition of rights to several additional NBC favorites including Manifest, Friday Night Lights, and 30 Rock.

When is Chicago Med coming to Netflix?

As revealed by Netflix, Chicago Med will be available to stream beginning on Thursday, July 22, 2021. This will mark the first time the series can be streamed on Netflix, with previous seasons of Med currently streaming on Peacock and the show’s most recent season, season 6, streaming on Hulu.

What seasons of Chicago Med are on Netflix?

Currently, seasons 1-5 of Chicago Med are available to stream on Netflix with the show’s most recent sixth season streaming on both Hulu and Peacock.

Will Chicago Fire or Chicago PD be coming to Netflix too?

At this time, it remains uncertain whether Chicago Fire or Chicago PD will follow in Med‘s footsteps in making the jump to Netflix but the odds are definitely looking better than ever before.

The deal struck between Netflix and NBCUniversal clearly signifies there is an interest in the One Chicago franchise from Netflix and we imagine both parties would be highly interested in a deal for seasons of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD which could be dependent upon how well Med performs upon its arrival.

Should the series take off and become a favorite among Netflix subscribers, it’s quite possible NBCUniversal and Netflix could work out a deal to make seasons of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD available to subscribers in the US as well.
