Filming is currently underway on Chicago Fire season 10 with the cast and crew making their way back out to the city of Chicago to begin work on the new season… well, almost everyone on the cast.

While most of the Chicago Fire cast is back on set filming in the Windy City, David Eigenberg instead seems to be in the Big Apple where he’s joining his former Sex and the City costars on the set of HBO Max’s revival series.

As previously reported, Eigenberg will be reprising his role of Steve Brady, the boyfriend and later husband of Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), in HBO Max’s upcoming Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That, and it appears he’s officially on-location in New York City filming alongside his former co-stars.

With production on the highly anticipated revival kicking off in New York City, Eigenberg was spotted filming on-location with Cynthia Nixon. While we knew Eigenberg would be reprising his role, the timing of filming is definitely interesting given it coincides with the start of production on season 10 of Chicago Fire which has us wondering if we should be concerned about the fate of Christopher Herrmann as season 10 begins!

Will David Eigenberg be in Chicago Fire season 10?

Although we understand that it might seem alarming to fans that David Eigenberg has been spotted filming And Just Like That in New York City the same week filming on Chicago Fire season 10 began, fans can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing Eigenberg is not leaving NBC’s One Chicago drama.

While the specifics of Eigenberg’s arrangement are unclear, it appears he’ll simply be traveling back and forth between the two cities for a few weeks as filming unfolds on HBO Max’s 10-episode revival series.

It’s going to be interesting to see if Herrmann’s screentime during the first episodes of season 10 will be slightly more limited in accommodating Eigenberg’s filming schedule, fans can expect Herrmann to be back in action when season 10 premieres this September!
