Chicago Fire season 10: Did Joe Minoso just spoil Cruz’s fate?
By Cody Schultz
Joe Minoso‘s new post has fans wondering whether he just dropped a major Chicago Fire season 10 spoiler regarding the fate of Joe Cruz.
As Chicago Fire season 9 came to a close, Cruz, Severide (Taylor Kinney), Capp (Randy Flagler) and Tony (Anthony Ferraris) found themselves in a life-threatening situation after an undercover rescue went terribly wrong. Trapped underwater with no air left in their tanks, things weren’t looking good for Squad leaving fans to wonder who, if any, of the team would make it out of the ordeal alive and unscathed.
Following the finale, NBC has been tight-lipped in preventing spoilers from leaking out which could ruin the outcome of the season’s cliffhangers. Perhaps that’s why it’s so surprising that our first major spoiler of the season seems to have come from a promotional video featuring Minoso which might have very well revealed whether Cruz will live or die.

Does Cruz die in Chicago Fire season 10?
Heading into season 10, one of the biggest questions on the minds of fans is whether Joe Cruz or any members of Squad will die as a result of the predicament they found themselves in as season 9 came to a close. Although it remains to be seen whether anyone on Squad won’t make it out alive, it looks like Cruz fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
In a new video posted to the Wolf Entertainment Instagram designed to promote the Chicago Fire Name a Character Sweepstakes, Joe Minoso drops by to give fans information about the giveaway in a quick and fun post. While the video itself is far from unusual, it seems to offer a major clue about Cruz’s fate. Check the full video out below:
Not only does the video appear to have been taken on the set of season 10, but Minoso is sporting his usual Chicago Fire 51 wardrobe which seems to suggest he’s back on set filming the current season. This would of course mean that Cruz survives the underwater ordeal and makes it out alive, thus assuring he’ll be around as part of the season 10 cast.
