With the fall season fast approaching, NBC is hard at work preparing Chicago Fire season 10 with the cast and crew having recently returned to begin work on the new season.

As recently revealed by several members of the cast, filming is currently underway in Chicago with all of our favorite actors making their way back to the Windy City — well most of them, that is — to suit back up as Chicago’s heroic firefighters and paramedics.

Although we haven’t gotten quite as many teases from the set from the cast and crew just yet, new images snapped on the set of season 10 captured one star’s return to in what could be a major spoiler for season 10.

It seems those concerns over Taylor Kinney leaving Chicago Fire might have been a false alarm after all. While NBC has yet to confirm who exactly will be back for season 10, newly snapped images from the set of the network’s hit drama seem to confirm Kinney will indeed be back as Lt. Kelly Severide in season 10.

In the images released by notorious spoiler account Deuxmoi (h/t OK Magazine), Kinney was photographed on the set of season 10 alongside several of his co-stars. Although not much if given away by the images, Kinney’s presence on set in the new images seems to suggest he’ll indeed be back in action this season and will not be departing the show.

Of course, in a normal year, seeing Kinney on set wouldn’t constitute as a spoiler given he’s long been a series regular on the series and is one of the show’s top-billed stars. However, given his character’s future was very much left up in the air as season 9 came to an end, his presence on set seems to suggest Severide will survive the underwater rescue gone wrong.

Of course, we’ll have to wait until the new season arrives on Sept. 22 to know for certain whether Severide and the rest of Squad will make it out alive, but the odds are definitely good for Severide and company.
