Chicago Fire could become the latest One Chicago series to arrive on Netflix. In fact, the series could be coming to Netflix as early as September 2021.

To recap, NBC and Netflix surprised One Chicago fans when they struck an unexpected deal in late July which allowed the first five seasons of Chicago Med to make their way to Netflix. Not only was the deal completely unexpected, but word of the deal broke less than 24 hours before Chicago Med made its way to Netflix on July 22.

From the moment Chicago Med debuted on Netflix, fans have been anxiously waiting to see if Netflix and NBC would work out similar deals for additional series within the One Chicago franchise to make their Netflix debut.

While it was looking as though Med could be flying solo for an extended period of time, it’s starting to look like it might soon be joined by the series responsible for kicking off the entire One Chicago franchise. That’s right, Chicago Fire could be making its way to Netflix much sooner than anyone previously expected… in fact, it’s already been confirmed that the show will be dropping on Netflix in select locations next month!

Is Chicago Fire coming to Netflix in September?

With September quickly approaching, Netflix has gradually begun to tease the new titles which will be arriving in the next month across its various global markets. While it’s been quiet on the US front, word has recently broke that select seasons of Chicago Fire will be making their way to Netflix in several key European markets in September including the UK, Finland, and Belgium.

At this time, Netflix has not yet announced whether Chicago Fire will be coming to Netflix US during the month of September; however, the series arrival in several key international markets is a positive sign for US fans.

While it’s not uncommon for certain titles to stream on Netflix internationally and not in the US, it’s incredibly promising that Chicago Fire will be dropping on Netflix overseas on Sept. 1 and has us feeling that much more optimistic that the series could soon be coming to Netflix stateside as well.

Considering we found out Chicago Med would be coming to Netflix literally the day before its release, it’s hard to know when exactly we’ll know for certain whether Chicago Fire is coming to Netflix US in September.

It’s possible Netflix could share the news when it announces its complete September 2021 schedule; however, it’s just as equally possible Netflix could exclude the series from its monthly schedule as it did with Chicago Med and instead tease Fire‘s arrival in the “Coming Soon” section just before it’s scheduled to arrive.

As soon as any news becomes available regarding whether Chicago Fire will be coming to Netflix US in September 2021 as well, we’ll be sure to update this piece. In the meantime, you can always enjoy streaming Chicago Fire on Peacock.
