In addition to giving fans their first sneak peeks at the upcoming season premieres with a wave of spoiler-filled photos, NBC has finally confirmed the titles for the upcoming Chicago Fire season 10, Chicago Med season 7, and Chicago PD season 9 premieres. While this might seem like an inconsequential moment, the premiere titles offer up some major hints about the upcoming seasons which should not be overlooked!

Chicago Med season 7 premiere episode title

As revealed by NBC, Chicago Med season 7, episode 1 will be titled “You Can’t Always Trust What You See,” which seems to suggest the episode will feature some sort of red herring-type storyline.

This being Chicago Med, it’s possible the title could be connected to a patient, perhaps whose symptoms suggest one ailment when they’re, in fact, suffering from something entirely unexpected. It’s also possible the title could be alluding to the show’s new arrivals, as it has been confirmed new doctor Steve Hammer (Kristen Hager) does have a “surprising past.”

Chicago Fire season 10 premiere episode title

The Chicago Fire season 10 premiere is entitled, “Mayday,” and it’s likely not hard to figure out the meaning behind the title. Given mayday is an emergency distress call, the season 10 premiere title is likely a nod to the season 9 cliffhanger involving Squad — who were last seen trapped underwater without any air in their tanks.

Chicago PD season 9 premiere episode title

The first episode of Chicago PD season 9 is titled “Closure,” a simple enough title that seems to carry a lot more weight than fans might initially anticipate.

Considering the first images for the episode feature Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller (Nicole Ari Parker) gearing up and taking to the streets alongside the Intelligence Unit, it’s likely the season 9 title is referring to Miller being able to finally get closure in bringing down those connected to the murder of her son.
