Chicago Fire season 10: Who’s missing in first season 10 photos?
By Cody Schultz
With the new season of Chicago Fire only a few short weeks away, our first look at the upcoming tenth season recently arrived in the form of a batch of new photos from the season 10 premiere.
The new images offered up our first look at the upcoming season and were filled with teases about what’s to come for many of our favorite characters. While there was a lot to unload from the images, perhaps the biggest talking point isn’t what’s going on within the images but rather who’s notably missing entirely from the batch of images.
Across the nearly two dozen season 10 premiere images, we get the chance to see nearly every member of Firehouse 51 with a few glaring omissions: every single member of Squad.
What’s next for Squad in Chicago Fire season 10?
Considering when we last left Severide (Taylor Kinney), Cruz (Joe Minoso), Capp (Randy Flagler), and Tony (Anthony Ferraris) they were trapped underwater without any air in their oxygen tanks, the big mystery heading into the season 10 premiere is what will come of the quartet.
Given the mystery surrounding their fate, it’s not too surprising NBC wouldn’t want to give away any hints about who might live or die via a photograph from the season. So while disappointing, the absence of Severide, Cruz, Capp, and Tony in the season 10 premiere photos isn’t exactly surprising.

What is revealed in the premiere photos is that season 10 will indeed pick up right where the finale left off, as evident in the batch of new images set on the dock which feature the members of 51 looking out towards the water, concerning looks on their faces.
With this in mind, it seems highly likely we should learn what’s next for Squad as soon as the season begins with the expectation being the premiere will quickly reveal whether Squad makes it out alive and survives their brush with danger.
Should they survive, it’s likely they’ll get right back to work without ever missing a beat — after all, it’s not as if this was the first time a rescue didn’t go quite according to plan.
