Chicago Med: Where is Ethan in the new Chicago Med season 7 photos?

NBC recently dropped more than a dozen new images from the Chicago Med season 7 premiere, images that have offered up our first looks at the cast back in action in the first episode of the new season.

Across the images, we get the chance to see the show’s new cast members in action and have also been given confirmation that SPOILER won’t be leaving Med after all. The photos offer up a lot of hints about what’s to come for our favorite characters as the season begins, but there is one character who is conspicuously missing leaving us to ask where is Brain Tee’s Dr. Ethan Choi?

That’s right, across the handful of images released by NBC ahead of the premiere there is not a single new image of Tee’s character, who was last seen in recovery after being shot by one of Dean’s (Steven Weber) former patients.

Given time jump is expected for season 7, we anticipated Ethan would be sidelined as the season begins in still recovering from his injuries; however, his lack of absence in any of the show’s promotional photos from the premiere does seem to bode the question: Is Brian Tee leaving Chicago Med?

Although it might seem concerning that Brian Tee is not pictured in any of the Chicago Med season 7 promotional photos, we can confirm he is not leaving the show and will be returning this season as Ethan Choi.

Ahead of the season, Tee was among several cast members who inked a new deal with NBC to extend his contract on the show. While the exact details of the contract are unknown, we do know the new agreement will guarantee Tee will be back in action this fall as part of the season 7 cast.

His absence from the season 7 premiere photos is likely due to his character being involved in the season 6 cliffhanger and NBC’s hope of keeping fans guessing as to what might be next for Ethan after his brush with death in the finale.
