When is the Chicago PD fall finale? (2021)

If the most recent episode of Chicago PD was any indication, things might finally be coming to a head with the Roy murder investigation storyline.

In episode 8, the FBI seemed to be closing in on the Voight (Jason Beghe) and company with the unearthing of Roy’s body. The episode ended with the lead FBI agent giving Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) quite the ultimatum: help him to bring Voight down or prepare to go down with Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) for helping to cover it up.

Clearly, we’ve reached the boiling point of this storyline and Halstead, Voight and Upton are about to face the music in what is shaping up to be quite a powerful fall finale.

Chicago PD finale 2021 date

Given how this season’s episodes have aired without much interruption, one might assume the Chicago PD fall finale would be coming this Wednesday, Nov. 17. However, NBC has a more unique plan in place for the series and has announced it will be holding the Chicago PD fall finale for early December.

Rather than airing the fall finale in November and then sending the One Chicago series on break for the holiday season, NBC will instead send the shows on a three-week break before airing their fall finales on Wednesday, Dec. 8.

The shows will then go on break for the remainder of 2021 and will return with new episodes at the top of the new year.
