Wendy Seager (Andy Allo) is back in the mix. The Lieutenant for the Office of Fire Investigation has popped up sporadically in season 10, and it looks like her closeness with Severide (Taylor Kinney) has elevated her significance in the show.

The two bonded over old arson cases and drinks in the episode “Winterfest”, and while nothing has been said, it’s clear the two fire workers enjoy each other’s company. Toss in the fact that Severide is having a difficult time with Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), and you have all the classic makings of a dramatic love triangle.

Here’s what you know to know about Seager and actress Andy Allo moving forward.

Is Wendy Seager joining the main cast of Chicago Fire?

Seager is going to playing a pivotal role in the rest of season 10. Her dynamic with Severide seems primed to cause tension with Kidd, which is something Fire showrunner Derek Haas confirmed in a recent interview.

“I think Kidd’s going to be very interested to hear that while she was gone, he was taking down arsonists with, as [Seager] called it, his Avenger partner”, Haas told TV Insider. “So yeah, I could see that being at least a topic of interest between the two of them.”

Not only has Seager been trying to win over Severide’s affections (albeit subtly), she’s also tried to get him away from Firehouse 51 and back into the Office for Fire Investigation. The pairing share a passion for arson investigations, and Severide has a history of communication issues, so whatever he may be feeling may take some time to fully come to the surface.

“There’s a lot to talk about”, Haas went on to tell Entertainment Tonight. “It’s both [Kidd’s] place at the firehouse and her place with her relationship with him that’s going to need some major work-in-progress-type renovations”.

We’d be surprised to see Severide and Kidd’s relationship fall apart for good, but it’s clear that they have a long and difficult road ahead of them. Seager is going to serve as both foil for Kidd and confidante for Severide, so those who are fans of the character are going to be in luck.
