Chicago Fire boss promises we haven’t seen the last of SPOILER in season 10
By Cody Schultz
This season of Chicago Fire has been filled with shocking moments, both good and bad.
Among the highlights of the season thus far has been the return of Andy Allo as Lieutenant Wendy Seager who has made a handful of appearances across the first episodes of the season by once again teaming up with Severide (Taylor Kinney) to investigate a new arson case.
When the conclusion of Severide and Seager’s case came in episode 7, many took that as the conclusion of Seager’s latest storyline. However, it seems we haven’t seen the last of Seager this season nor have we seen Severide work his last arson investigation!
Chicago Fire boss reveals Seager is sticking around
While Severide will have a lot to process when Chicago Fire season 10 resumes in January and his future with Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) might remain uncertain, one thing that is certain is that fans can look forward to seeing Severide getting the chance to put on his arson investigator cap and team up with Seager again this season.
As Fire showrunner Derek Haas revealed in a recent interview with TV Guide, the writers are always looking for ways to allow Severide to explore his interest in arson investigating and he’ll yet again have Seager by his side.

"“Making Severide interested in arson and having a knack for it lends itself to some cool stories that we just normally wouldn’t tell in a show about just a firehouse. So we’re definitely bringing that back,” Haas teased. As Haas, elaborated, “We’ve been reading a lot of interesting articles about cases and the way they can go in any direction. ‘Was it an insurance claim? Was this even arson?’ is, to us, interesting, and then you throw Seager and Van Meter into the mix, and we just think that’s fun. They love Severide. They want him to work there. And that makes it fun for us, to be able to push him into those stories and pull them back out. There’ll be a few more of those before the year is over. You haven’t seen the last of Seager.”"
While the exact timeline for when Severide will next team up with Seager to investigate a new arson case remains unclear, it’s exciting to know that we’ll get the chance to see Severide continue to explore his interest in arson investigating and more of Seager in the episodes ahead!
