Carmen Walker has made a splash during her stint on season 7 of Chicago Med. The character enters the fold as someone who used to know Dr. Dylan Scott (Guy Lockard), and who possibly could play a big role in his future.

Given that Dr. Scott is still a newcomer to the show, audiences have to look at every tidbit about his past as a possible tip off to where his character is headed. With that in mind, Carmen is set up to be someone who leaves a big impression.

Here’s the rundown on the character and the actress who plays her.

Kellee Stewart on Chicago Fire

Carmen Walker is played by Kellee Stewart. The Pennsylvania native graduated from Norristown Area High School in 1993 and went on to make her screen debut in the 2000 drama Let’s Talk.

She’s since gone on to appear in blockbuster films like Monster-In-Law (2005), Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), and Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2013). She also appeared in the comedy Guess Who (2005), opposite Zoe Saldana, and the two stars have been friends ever since.

Stewart has been even more prolific on television. She’s had notable guest spots on Black-ish, Bones, and AP Bio, and while she’s never appeared in the One Chicago universe before, she has made a single episode appearance in the Dick Wolf-produced Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

In addition to her onscreen career, Stewart has worked behind the camera. She based the single camera comedy BBF (Black Best Friend) on her real-life Hollywood and childhood experiences, and she co-wrote and produced the series alongside Sebastian Jones.

Stewart has continued to stay busy. More recently, she starred in the Amazon comic book series Paper Girls. It’s not yet clear how long the actress is set to appear on Chicago Med, or whether her character will continue into next season, but suffice to say she’s stuck out with very little screen time.
