Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Severide (Taylor Kinney). Stellaride. You know ’em and you love ’em. They’ve been through quite a bit in season 10, but it seems like the couple are finally reaching a point where they’re ready to take the next step. The next step being, of course, marriage.

Fans have been patiently waiting for Stellaride to get married for a couple seasons now, and some even thought they would tie the knot last season. While things are looking better than ever for the couple, there’s still confusion over when we’re going to get the wedding episode.

Here’s what you need to know about the Stellaride wedding and whether we can expect to see it in season 10.

Are Kidd and Severide married on Chicago Fire?

The cast and crew of Chicago Fire have done a great job of keeping the details of the wedding under wraps. There’s been little mention of it in recent interview, with most of the focus going towards Severide’s growing interest in arson investigation or Kidd’s pursuit of the lieutenant job.

Fortunately, showrunner Derek Haas has finally given us some insight. He recently discussed the wedding during an interview with Variety, and confirmed that it’s going to happen sooner rather than later. He went as far as to say that it will likely take place before season 10 wraps.

“We are on scope for a wedding episode this season”, he teased. “I would write it down — maybe not in ink, but as close to ink as you get.” While the statement is clearly meant to allow for wiggle room in the event the wedding story gets pushed back, it sounds incredibly promising for fans of the couple.

This is also good news for those concerned about Wendy Seager (Andy Allo) being a disrupter in the Stellaride dynamic. Seager and Severide have handled a few cases together during the season, and the former clearly has feelings for him, but recent episode “Fire Cop” seemed to confirm that things are strong as ever between the engaged couple.

Haas also teased the possibility of Casey (Jesse Spencer) returning to be Severide’s best man, and if that comes to fruition, it’s sure to be one of the highlights of season 10. Click below to read more about Casey’s future.
