New Chicago Fire video offers first look at 51’s new paramedic

Chicago Fire season 10 has been quite a revolving door. Beloved members of the 51 family have departed the series, some for good and others for stretches of several episodes, while others have made their One Chicago debuts and quickly won fans over.

Soon, Chicago Fire will welcome yet another new member to its cast with Caitlin Carver joining the season 10 cast in a recurring role as 51’s newest paramedic, Emma.

While little is known about Carver’s character at this time, we do know she’ll make her debut sometime in April. Though the exact episode in which Emma will finally arrive at 51 remains unclear, it’s looking likely we could be meeting her as early as episode 17.

Although it’s not yet clear when Emma will arrive on-screen, a new behind-the-scenes video provides fans with their first look at 51’s newest addition.

Caitlin Carver makes Chicago Fire debut in new video

In a new behind-the-scenes video from the set shared by a member of the creative team, Miranda Rae Mayo takes center stage in a pair of comedic videos. While Mayo is the clear star of the video, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the second video in the pair happens to feature a surprise appearance from 51’s new paramedic!

As Mayo tries her hand at managing one of the microphone boom arms, we get a glimpse at Carver’s new paramedic enjoying some downtime between takes alongside Hanako Greensmith’s Violet. Although Carver’s appearance is brief, it seems to confirm fans’ suspicions that she’s joined the cast as Brett’s temporary replacement during her extended furlough to visit Casey.
