Brittany Snow has had a terrific Hollywood career. She’s perhaps best known for starring in the Pitch Perfect franchise, but she’s also had significant roles in other blockbuster films and TV shows.

Snow’s packed schedule has led some fans to question whether the actress is part of the Chicago Med cast. In particular, whether she’s recently joined the cast as Dr. Hannah Asher. Well, the short answer is no, but let’s delve into how this confusion came about.

Here’s what you need to know about Brittany Snow and her One Chicago ties.

Who does Brittany Snow play on Chicago Med?

Snow is not part of Chicago Med, and has never appeared on the show. In fact, despite having been on shows as varied as Gossip Girl and Workaholics, she has never been on any of the One Chicago shows. She did, however, make a brief appearance in the Dick Wolf series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2006.

The confusions stems from the physical resemblance Snow has with the actress who actually plays Dr. Asher: Jessy Schram. Both stars were born in 1986 and got their start in the mid-2000s by leading teen shows (American Dreams for Snow, Jane Doe for Schram). They combined to star in most of the prestige television of the 2000s, with Schram making notable appearances on Mad Men and Nashville, just to name a few.

Outwardly, both Snow and Schram have had blonde hair and blue eyes. They have often been compared to one another over the years, and google images searches will showcase just how much they’ve resemble at key times.

As evidenced by Schram’s memorable performance on Chicago Med, however, the two stars have very singular talents. Snow has specialized in genre fare like comedy and horror, while Schram had mainly stuck to drama over the years. They are both great at what they do, but when places side by side, their differences come to light.

We can’t wait to see where Schram takes the character of Asher moving forward.
