Brandon Prado is going to be sticking around. The actor has appeared in a handful of episodes throughout Chicago Fire season 10, and while he hasn’t factored in any of the major storylines, he’s poised to become more important in the future.

Prado plays Todd Graham, a firefighter who tried to crack the starting rotation of the 51, but was ultimately passed over in favor of Mason (Chris Mansa), a former felon who impressed Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) with his dedication.

Here’s what you need to know about Prado and his future on the show.

Is Brandon Prado coming back to Chicago Fire?

Chicago Fire showrunner Derek Haas discussed Prado’s role on Fire during a recent interview with Deadline. He revealed that the actor would be revealing a different layer of Graham, and would go as far as to impress the 51 firefighters who passed him over.

"“We thought Todd really popped when we first see him with Herrmann [David Eigenberg] at the Academy reading [Todd’s brother John’s badge]”, Haas revealed. “We just thought it would be cool if Herrmann went back to the Academy for another reason and he sees Todd there again who reveals he’s now a candidate for the fire academy. The Academy takes time but it would be fun to see him emerge as a firefighter.”"

If that weren’t interesting enough, the showrunner teased a potential romance between Graham and Brett (Kara Killmer)! It would be a shocking development, for sure, given that Brett is still in a relationship with Casey (Jesse Spencer) and is currently visiting him in Oregon. “All the Brettsey fans would be like, what?!”, Haas quipped.

A romance between the two characters would be a major shake up, and would suggest that Casey will be missing for the long haul (despite his planned return in the season 10 finale). It would also lead to some different experiences for Brett, who would be forced to reconsider her role in the 51 and her personal life.

Whether or not love is in the air, prepare to see much more of Prado and his screen counterpart, Todd Graham, in season 11.
