Chicago Fire behind-the-scene photo teases Jesse Spencer’s return as Casey

From the moment Jesse Spencer’s Captain Matt Casey left town in the 200th episode of Chicago Fire, fans have been counting down the days until we’d see Casey make his way back to the Windy City.
At first, it seemed like we might only be able to cling to references of Casey via updates from other characters on the show including his long-distance girlfriend Sylvie Brett and best friend Kelly Severide. And for most of the season, that’s indeed how the writers have kept Casey’s presence alive on the show
However, that will soon change as Jesse Spencer is making his way back to the series for the upcoming season 10 finale! In the episode, Severide and Kidd will finally exchange their I Do’s which will see Casey returning to town to serve as the Best Man at his best friend’s wedding.
With production on the finale underway, Spencer has officially returned to the Chicago Fire set and we have our first look at Spencer back in action via a new behind-the-scenes image!

As production begins to wind down on the season, the cast and crew of NBC’s hit drama were surprised with some sweet treats from Illinois bakery Twisted Cookies. Celebrating the delicious treats — seriously, we’re craving some cookies ourselves after seeing the cast and crew’s various Instagram posts — the cast and crew took to social media to thank the Twisted Cookies team for their yummy surprise.
Among the many cast members on set to enjoy the treats was Jesse Spencer, who was all smiles as he posed alongside fellow cast member Alberto Rosende and a member of the Twisted Cookies team on the set of the series.
While the photo doesn’t offer up much in ways of spoilers, it does find Spencer rocking a slightly longer hairstyle than the shorter cut we last saw Casey rocking! Given Casey is also in street clothes, we feel it’s safe to assume he won’t be suiting up to join 51 on any calls while in town — though there is a chance the writers might have a trick up their sleeves.

Considering we’re only a few weeks out from the finale, it shouldn’t be long until we get our first official look at Casey’s return. But for now, we’re living for the new behind-the-scenes photo… and also craving some cookies!
