We get a little more focus on Herrmann and tensions run high between Violet and Emma in Chicago Fire season 10, episode 20. What can we expect in the new episode?

When it comes to Herrmann (David Eigenberg), we usually see him used for comedic relief in the episodes. There are times that he can step up with some lessons for himself or for us to learn. When it comes to growing as a father, that’s when we usually see his storyline get a little serious.

During the new episode, it’s going to be focused on his ability to build a successful business running a bar. Sure, some of that came from Molly’s being at the location of a gruesome murder, which led to some murder-mystery enthusiasts adding it to a tour. It has also grown thanks to the way all the first responders would end up using it as a place to hang out.

It looks like a family member is interested in how he’s got a successful bar. Is Herrmann going to help someone set up a competitor business?

Meanwhile, we’ll get to see a little more of the drama on Ambo 61. There are already tensions between Emma (Caitlin Carver) and Violet (Hanako Greensmith), and that’s about to get a lot worse.

Chicago Fire 10×20 promo

There isn’t a new promo out for the episode. NBC released one after the previous episode to say that the show would return on Wednesday, May 11. That’s all we have at the time of writing this.

Chicago Fire 10×20 synopsis

The synopsis gives us more information. The first part is focused on Herrmann, which suggests that this is going to be a big storyline for the episode. Then we move onto the tensions rising between Emma and Violet.

The Ambo 61 drama isn’t that surprising. Emma has already attempted to cement her place permanently on the truck, and Violet doesn’t like her. Violet doesn’t get much of a say who she works with, but she’s sure to be counting down the days until Brett returns.

The final part of the synopsis is focused on Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). She is struggling to keep the team together, but the synopsis doesn’t really say why. Are they struggling to follow her leadership? Maybe they see her as more of one of them and she’ll need to cement her place as the new lieutenant.

"A family friend asks Herrmann for some advice on opening a bar. Tensions run high between Emma and Violet. Kidd struggles to keep her team together."

Chicago Fire 10×20 images

The images released for the episode don’t offer that much in the way of extra information. There are some images of Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Boden (Eamonn Walker) talking, which could be to do with Kidd struggling to keep Truck 81 together.
