Nicole Forester is a familiar face to Chicago Fire viewers, even if they don’t recognize the name. The actress played Christie, the sister of Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer), during a handful of crucial episodes in seasons 1 and 3.
The dynamic between Christie and Matt changed radically over the course of the show. While they were initially distant, they grew closer as they matured, and by the time Christie appeared in the season 9 episode “Double Red”, all was seemingly forgiven.
Now, it seems that Forester will be pivoting to another part of the Dick Wolf universe.
Who plays Casey’s sister on Chicago Fire?
The actress has been cast in FBI: International. According to TV Line, she will be playing an entirely different character, despite the fact that FBI and Chicago Fire take place in the same universe, and crossovers have occurred between the two shows.
Forester will play Marian Watts, an American mother who’s concerned about her son after he was found unresponsive in his swanky apartment in Berlin. It’ll be interesting to compare and contrast her performance as Marian with her turn as Christie, given how well fans have gotten to know the former character over the years.

Forester isn’t the first person to play multiple roles in the Dick Wolf universe. In fact, actors have played different parts in the same show. Chicago PD recently placed a spotlight on a rookie cop named Dante Torres, and the actor who played him, Benjamin Levy Aguilar, appeared seasons earlier as a suspect in a murder case.
When she isn’t frequenting the Dick Wolf universe, Forester is appearing in a wide array of film and TV. She’s perhaps best known for her role as Maggie on the Starz drama series Boss, and her role as Cassie in the long-running soap opera Guiding Light. She’s also had bit parts in action hits like Jack Reacher (2012) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
