Jesse Spencer responds to leaked Chicago Fire photos

Casey (Jesse Spencer) returning to Chicago Fire is no secret. There’s been confirmation from both of the showrunners, Derek Haas and Andrea Newman, as well as different cast members. He’s all set to be the best man at the wedding between Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).

Spencer has been notably quiet about the details of his return, and even after photos of his return to the show leaked online, the actor played coy and cracked a few jokes.

Jesse Spencer teases Casey’s return on Twitter

The actor, who’s been absent from Twitter since October 2021, took to the social media platform to comment on a photo of him as Casey, riding around in a boat. The photo had been making the rounds on different fan sites, and shows the character donning a sharp blue suit. Check it out for yourself:

Spencer retweeted the photo with the caption: “That’s not me…I think it’s Casey’s long lost bro or something. My hair don’t do that.” While the idea of Casey having a long lost identical brother who shows up for the Stellaride wedding is hilarious, he’s clearly poking fun at a look and a style that the character isn’t usually known for.

Like so many of the Chicago Fire team, Casey sports casual clothes and a casual haircut. Seeing him all done up is a rarity, and is usually reserved for special occasions. We anticipate there being more insight from the actor as the season 10 finale airs, but for now, it’s fun to see him firing up Twitter once more and engaging with excited fans.

We’re also curious to see how the character handles his relationship with Brett (Kara Killmer), given the long distance they’ve had to contend with and the fact that Casey will be gone for at least another two years.
