Chicago Fire season 10 finale spoilers: Is Chief Hawkins fired?
For the last few episodes of Chicago Fire season 10, Emma has threatened to out Hawkins and Violet’s relationship. What happened in the finale? Is Chief Hawkins out of a job?
Emma plotted for a way to make Firehouse 51 her home. She decided to blackmail Chief Hawkins. Either he kicks Violet off Ambo 61, or she puts in a report about Violet not packing the medical bags properly. She could blackmail Hawkins because of his relationship with Violet.
Well, in the end, Hawkins decided that he couldn’t see Violet kicked out of her firehouse for something that she didn’t do. He decided to admit to his relationship with her and shared all about Emma blackmailing him. He will take the consequences, whether they’re being moved to another district or he gets demoted to paramedic. None of that matters as long as Violet gets to stay at Firehouse 51.
Is Chief Hawkins leaving Chicago Fire?
We didn’t get a clear answer about what had happened to Chief Hawkins by the end of the Chicago Fire season 10 finale. The last we saw of him, he watched as Emma ran out of a burning building, leaving Violet behind. Violet was with the firefighters of Firehouse 51 delivering a baby while there was fire around them. It was the only option at the time.
That led to Hawkins telling Emma to pack up her things and leave at the end of the shift. She’s out of Firehouse 51, and there is no turning back for her.
What about Hawkins, though? Violet had a missed call from him at the end of the episode. She also made a comment about being with the boss being a bad idea, and it is clear that she’s having some second thoughts. However, there isn’t any sort of confirmation that Hawkins has been fired for his relationship with her just yet. The phone call could have been him explaining what had happened when he admitted to the relationship.
The Violet/Hawkins/Emma storyline can’t be over just yet. There are still too many questions, too many storylines up in the air. We’ll hopefully get some answers in the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere.
