Chicago PD alum joins cast of Paramount’s Scream 6
By Cody Schultz
Josh Segarra continues to be quite the busy man following his time on Chicago PD.
Across the first three seasons of One Chicago’s police drama, Segarra recurred as Justin Voight, the son of Hank Voight. Although Segarra only appeared in a handful of episodes across the series before his character met an untimely end, he made quite an impact on the show.
While it’s unlikely we’ll see Segarra return to the Windy City to reprise his role — which isn’t surprising given how his character’s arc ended — fans have been able to catch him in a number of titles since he exited the series including Arrow and FBI. Now, he’s about to join another iconic franchise with a role in one of 2023’s most anticipated movies.
Chicago PD alum Josh Segarra cast in Scream 6
As first reported by Deadline, Josh Segarra is the latest in a string of casting additions to Paramount and Spyglass Media’s next installment of the Scream franchise.
While it’s not yet been made clear who Segarra will be playing, he’s set to join fellow new additions Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, and Devyn Nekoda in Scream 6 which will also star Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, and Dermot Mulroney.

Filming on the movie is set to unfold this summer with Paramount eying a March 31, 2023 release date. While little is known about the film, it has been confirmed the picture will follow the events of Scream 5 by focusing on the four survivors of Ghostface’s killings as they leave Woodsboro and look to begin a new chapter.
