Chicago PD alum Anne Heche hospitalized following LA car crash

Former Chicago PD actress Anne Heche is said to be in critical condition following a car crash in the Los Angeles area on Friday, Aug. 5.

According to reports out of TMZ, Heche has been hospitalized after crashing her car into a LA home in the Mar Vista area, just after the 53-year-old actress was seen crashing her Mini Cooper into an apartment complex garage.

As Los Angeles Police Public Information Officer Jeff Lee revealed to CNN, Heche is reported to have been “traveling at a high rate of speed when she ran off the road and collided with a residence.”

The impact of the accident resulted in Heche’s vehicle being engulfed in flames, with Heche reported to have suffered severe burn injuries from the accident leading to her hospitalization where she is said to be in critical condition.

Who did Anne Heche play on Chicago PD?

Anne Heche is best known to One Chicago fans as originating the role of Deputy Superintendent Katherine Brennan on Chicago PD. Heche’s first appearance came in the season 6 premiere, “New Normal,” marking what would become an 11-episode guest arc.

Heche last appeared in the season 7 premiere, “Doubt,” back in 2019 which was used to set the stage for her character’s exit from the show. In the episode, it was revealed that Brennan was responsible for the murder of Brian Kelton, Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department, leading to her arrest by the Intelligence Unit in a story they saw her departure from the show.
