Jesse Lee Soffer remembers Chicago PD costar Anne Heche
By Cody Schultz
On Aug. 12, the One Chicago franchise lost a beloved member of its family with the passing of actress Anne Heche at the age of 53. As confirmed by the late actress’s family, the former Chicago PD actress passed away one week after being hospitalized following an automotive accident.
Across her career, Heche appeared in a number of titles but to the One Chicago fans, she’s best known for her role across the sixth season of Chicago PD. As Deputy Superintendent Katherine Brennan, Heche delivered a memorable arc as a character who often operated in shades of grey and who crossed paths with the Intelligence Unit on more than a few occasions before her character’s exit.
Although her time on the show was brief, Heche made a lasting impact on the cast who are remembering the late actress for the joy and kindness she brought to the set.
Jesse Lee Soffer honors late Chicago PD co-star Anne Heche
Following in the steps of his former costar Jon Seda, who posted a touching tribute to Heche on Instagram days ago, current lead Jesse Lee Soffer has become the latest of Heche’s former co-stars to honor the late actress on social media.
In a moving tribute, Soffer remembered Heche for her generosity and humor, while sending his love to Heche’s family in their time of grieving.
"“I haven’t really known what to say. I just want to pay my respects. Anne was such a kind person. Always generous. Always funny. I’m so sorry for her family. I hope they know how many people she really touched. I think these pics were from her last day on set with us.”"
The sweet post was accompanied by a pair of behind-the-scenes photos taken on the set during Heche’s time on the show.
