The Chicago Fire season 11 premiere opened with the attack on Severide and Kidd while they were on their honeymoon. Who was behind the attack?

Severide and Kidd were supposed to be able to enjoy their honeymoon. However, the end of the Chicago Fire season 10 finale made it clear that there was a looming threat. A dark truck drove past the cabin they were staying in.

Of course, we spent the summer wondering what would come next. There was no way something bad was going to happen to Kidd and Severide, but how would they get out of the mess they were in? More importantly, who was after them?

Who attacked Stellaride in the Chicago Fire season 11 premiere?

The answer was pretty obvious. It was all linked to the drug bust that Severide was a part of. The synopsis did give this one away.

In the truck was the guy originally arrested. He was the one with the food truck on fire. He risked his life to get to items in the truck, and Severide immediately got an off feeling about it. One of the canisters hadn’t been set on fire, and Severide and Cruz found drugs in the truck.

Unfortunately, Severide was caught out before PD got to the truck. While the guy with the truck was arrested, his boss knew it was Severide who got the drugs confiscated and one of his guys arrested. Of course, this drug lord was going to go after Severide.

On top of that, there was a dirty cop in PD. Fortunately, the cop was caught out before anything bad could happen to Severide and Kidd. It meant the cops got to the cabin before Severide and Kidd were killed—and really before Severide did more damage to the guy attacking Kidd.

The good news is the drug storyline seems to be over. Severide is struggling with the guilt of getting Kidd almost killed and he’s angry that the cops were willing to protect a dirty one of their own, but the case seems to be closed.
